H-E-B and Favor team up to help Texas recover

Update: Texans raised more than $140,000 to support local communities

Update: Thanks to a number of generous contributions, H-E-B and Favor raised more than $140,000 to support Feeding Texas.

While the weather has returned to normal after last week’s winter storm, many of our neighbors’ lives have not.

As a part of the H-E-B family, we are proud to help local communities recovering from the devastating winter storm through a $1 million donation and charitable fund benefitting Feeding Texas, a statewide nonprofit leading a unified effort for a hunger-free Texas.

All contributions to the fund will support food banks across the state and provide immediate aid to our neighbors most in need.

In addition, we’re working with local partners and have allocated $25,000 to feed displaced residents in our hometown, Austin. With the help of Austin Mutual Aid and Good Work Austin, we will distribute thousands of free meals from Favor partners Torchy’s Tacos and P. Terry’s Burger Stand this week.

All contributions will go to Feeding Texas and be distributed to 18 food banks across the state. Funds are tax-deductible. Feeding Texas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, tax ID 74–2762542. No goods or services are provided in return for any contributions.
